Policies & Procedures
Terms and Conditions
Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances:
-
The pet's rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.
-
In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Doggie Details Pet Grooming LLC to contact the provided or nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.
-
Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check or credit card. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge.
-
Owner must disclose if the pet is aggressive towards humans or other animals and also if it has shown past aggression with other groomers.
-
Owner must disclose if they think or know their pet has fleas. Flea removal can alter the grooming process and require a fee.
1. Cancellations
-
Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 48 hours' notice to waive the FULL appointment fee.
-
In the event of inclement weather, a family emergency, or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer may waive the fee within the 48-hour period.
-
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if necessary. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.
2. No-Shows
-
It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.
-
We reserve the right to charge the full grooming fee for a "no-show". Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.
-
Recurring "no-shows" will result in you having to pay a deposit to book your next appointments or possible firing of client.
3. Late drop-offs
A client is considered late if not present at the agreed-upon time of appointment. A 10-minute layover will be given as long as contact has been made. After 10 minutes with no contact, an appointment will be considered a "no-show" and is considered cancelled under the discretion of the groomer.

4. Pick-ups
-
Please only come in the truck when the groomer has contacted you that your dog is ready. This is to prevent distraction for the pet since there is a window into the lobby.
-
When your pet is dropped off, you will be given an estimate of how long the groom will take. You will be updated on the progress if it changes and notified when it is time to come pick up.
-
Pets picked up an hour after the agreed-upon pickup time may require a daycare fee. $10 per hour, per pet.

5. Matted Dog Policy
-
Dogs with matted coats will require extra attention. If able, groomers may choose to demat with an extra brushing fee.
-
If the matting is severe, the least painful and stressful way to remove the matting is by shaving. It is at the groomer's discretion whether this is required. If matting is extensive, there could be a de-matting fee.
-
When mats are shaved off the skin, there is a greater risk of clipper sores, nicks, or scratches. The skin may become red, itchy, and irritated due to the lack of oxygen reaching the skin. In extreme cases, bruising may be caused by blood flow returning to the area of tight matting, which is also a cause for hematomas on the pet's ears.
-
Doggie Detail Mobile Spa LLC will not be held responsible for injury sustained while grooming a matted dog or any after effects, including but not limited to swelling, redness, itchiness, and self-inflicted abrasions due to licking or scratching.
-
It is the owner's responsibility to disclose whether a pet shows sensitivity to blades in certain areas or to any shampoos or products we may use. We do not provide any consumables such as food or treats to any pets unless provided from the owner.
-
We do not groom or bathe Pregnant dogs. If you believe your dog is pregnant, please let us know, as we may need to delay grooming until after the puppies have been weaned.
-
Our prices are not set. Prices are subject to change by appointment based on the amount of work to be done on the pet at each separate appointment.

*Please Note: We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.*
